Free listings not working
Sometimes it happens that after switching (sometimes even before) accounts under CSS other than Google are not displayed products under "Free listings". This also manifests itself with the message "Comparison shopping service is not selected for this country"
Unfortunately, we do not have access to the "Comparison Shopping Services" menu under a different CSS than Google.
In order to have such a menu and be able to manage our CSS for this purpose, we need to follow a few steps.
⚠️ If you already have another GMC account for this site (store) under Google Shopping, go straight to step 3.
1. Create a new GMC account for Google Shopping
To complete this step, you need an account that is not associated with any other Merchant Center. If you do not have such an account, you can create a new Gmail account. Then create a new Merchant Center account, you can also add your own other accounts as administrators.
It is not necessary to add products to this dummy account. His job is to manage.
2. Validate the domain
Tools > Company Information > Site
You'll most likely get a message that your current site is already being used by another account.
Don't worry, on the current main account if it's under non-Google CSS nothing will happen and the domain won't will disconnect.
3. Activate "Free listings" in your CSS
Go to the menu mentioned at the beginning.
Here you will find all the CSSs that are active for the domain under which the store is located. Find your CSS on list and activate Free Listings (three dots on the right) for the given CSS you want to display them with.
Soon, the products should be systematically restored.
For Google Merchant Center Next accounts, after creating an account, the CSS management menu will appear the next day.
